19 September 2026

Barcelona

Touch down in the vibrant heart of Catalonia and step straight into the spirit of Spain. We head straight to our hotel to check in and freshen up, after which we head into the historic Old Town for a stroll. We soak up the winding alleys, centuries-old facades and lively plazas, which will set the tone for an unforgettable journey.

Later, we gather for a relaxed welcome dinner, sharing stories and first impressions over a taste of local flavours.

Day 3
20 September 2026

Barcelona

After a relaxed breakfast, the day is yours to explore Barcelona your way. With Hop-on Hop-off bus tickets in hand, you can take in the sights at your own pace — from beachside boulevards to world-class museums and vibrant markets.

Our group also enjoys a guided tour of the La Sagrada Família. With its soaring spires and intricate detail, Gaudí’s unfinished cathedral is sure to leave a lasting impression.

In the evening, enjoy the freedom to dine wherever you choose, with a meal subsidy provided. Then return to the hotel for a restful night in familiar comfort.

Day 4
21 September 2026

Peñíscola & Valencia

We leave Barcelona behind and make our way south along the stunning Mediterranean coast. Our first stop is the postcard-perfect town of Peñíscola, where whitewashed buildings and a hilltop castle meet golden beaches. Enjoy free time to wander, grab a bite, or simply soak up the sea air.

Later, we continue on to Valencia, a city where old-world elegance meets modern flair. You’ll have time to explore Valencia at your own pace — perhaps stroll through the Old Town or sip a horchata in one of the city’s charming cafés.

We regroup this evening for dinner at the hotel, sharing highlights from a sun-soaked day.

Valencia

This morning begins with a visit to the City of Arts and Sciences — Valencia’s iconic complex of futuristic architecture, lush gardens, and cultural wonders. Whether you’re drawn to science, design, or photography, it’s a feast for the senses.

Afterward, enjoy a free afternoon to explore Valencia at your own rhythm. Take a stroll through the Turia Gardens or browse local boutiques – and be sure to sample some home grown Valencia oranges.

This evening we head to an authentic paella restaurant to enjoy this local specialty together.

Later, the group returns to the hotel for a restful night.

Day 6
23 September 2026

Alicante & Granada

After breakfast, we journey south to the breezy coastal city of Alicante, where free time invites you to stretch your legs along the waterfront, explore the old town, or enjoy a coffee with a sea view.

From there, we continue inland to Granada, the jewel of Andalusia, where Moorish influence lingers in the air and architecture.

Since our hotel is nicely situated in the city center, we have the rest of the day free to explore this vibrant city on foot.

Dinner is on your own tonight, with a subsidy provided, giving you the chance to try local tapas or Andalusian specialties at your leisure.

We will be spending the following two nights in Granada.

Day 7
24 September 2026

Granada

This morning, we explore one of Spain’s most treasured landmarks: the Alhambra. With its intricate Islamic architecture, peaceful courtyards, and panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a glimpse into centuries of Moorish splendour.

Afterwards, enjoy free time in Granada to wander the Albaicín, browse artisan shops, or sip tea in a tucked-away tetería.

This evening comes alive with a truly special experience: a traditional Flamenco show.

Enjoy dinner served before the performance, then sit back as dancers, guitarists, and singers bring the soul of Spain to life in a powerful display of rhythm and emotion. 

Later in the evening we return to our hotel.

Day 8
25 September 2026

Seville

After breakfast, we travel to Seville, a city where history, music, and architecture intertwine in a vibrant tapestry.

Our guided city tour begins at the stunning Plaza de España, a magnificent semi-circular square adorned with tiled alcoves representing Spain’s provinces. We then continue to the awe-inspiring Seville Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and resting place of Christopher Columbus.

The afternoon is yours to explore Seville’s charming streets, relax in a café, or visit hidden gems at your own pace.

As the day winds down, we head to the hotel, our minds and hearts filled with the sights and spirit of this unforgettable city.

Lisbon

We journey westward to the captivating Portuguese capital, Lisbon. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided city tour that introduces you to its rich history, vibrant neighbourhoods, and stunning viewpoints.

We check into our 4-star hotel in the heart of Lisbon’s Baixa district. From here the rest of the day is yours to explore this area, as well as the lively streets of Bairro Alto, known for its charming shops, cafés, and authentic Lisbon atmosphere.

Enjoy the evening in one of the local restaurants around our hotel.

Day 10

Lisbon

The day is yours to uncover the many charms of Lisbon at your own pace. Trips and Travels provides you with a Hop On Hop Off bus ticket to use at leisure while exploring this city.

Wander through historic neighbourhoods like Alfama, visit iconic landmarks, or relax in one of the city’s beautiful parks.

For a truly memorable afternoon, keep a lookout for the famous Fado performers—Portugal’s soulful musical tradition that captures the heart and history of the city.

Dinner is once again yours to enjoy on your own tonight.

Porto

We travel north to the captivating city of Porto, famous for its historic riverside, colorful buildings, and world-renowned wines.

Upon arrival, indulge in a Port wine tasting, sampling the rich, fortified wines that have made this region famous. Don’t forget to also try the refreshing Vinho Verde, a crisp green wine from the surrounding area — perfect for a sunny afternoon.

The rest of the day is yours to explore Porto’s charming streets, vibrant markets, or riverside cafés at leisure.

We spend our final evening in a lovely hotel in the heart of Porto. In the evening, we enjoy a farewell group dinner, swapping stories and memories from the last two weeks.

Óbidos & Lisbon

After breakfast, we set out for the enchanting medieval town of Óbidos, where narrow cobbled streets, whitewashed houses, and charming shops invite a leisurely morning of exploration and discovery. Enjoy free time to wander at your own pace, perhaps picking up a last souvenir or two.

In the afternoon, we travel back to Lisbon, arriving in time to catch your flight home.
